GCSE Results Day 2026

Back
August 20th 2026

Students at The Warren School are celebrating another strong set of GCSE results. This year's Year 11 cohort achieved 78.1% at Grade 4 or above in English and 69% at Grade 4 or above in Mathematics, with 65.7% of students securing a Grade 4 or above in both subjects. These results will enable students to progress confidently to sixth form studies, college courses and a range of other post-16 pathways.

This year's results showcase the progress made by students over the course of their five years at the school. Throughout their studies, they have risen to the challenges of GCSE courses, approached examinations with maturity and benefited from the targeted intervention and support programmes offered by staff. Their achievements today are thoroughly deserved and provide a strong foundation for future success and academic study.

A number of students achieved outstanding individual results. Wareesha led the cohort with an exceptional set of results, achieving nine Grade 9s and one Grade 8. She was closely followed by Syed, who secured seven Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and one Grade 6, while Julian achieved an impressive five Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 7.

After receiving his 100% 7-9 GCSE grades, Julian said:

"I am really pleased with my results and proud of everything I have achieved. There were times when GCSEs felt challenging, but the support from my teachers, friends and family helped me stay focused. I am excited to remain at The Warren as I move on to the next stage of my education."

Ema said:

"I worked hard throughout Year 11 and I am delighted that it has paid off. I am grateful for all the encouragement I received from my teachers, and I am looking forward to starting the next chapter."

The vast majority of students have secured places on their chosen post-16 pathways, with many returning to The Warren School Sixth Form and others progressing to local colleges, apprenticeships and specialist courses. We are proud to see our students taking their next steps and look forward to hearing about their future achievements in the years to come.

Executive Headteacher, Ms Ashe, said: "Today is a day of celebration for our students and our community. These results reflect the effort and commitment shown by this cohort throughout their time at The Warren School. We congratulate every student on their achievements and thank our staff and families for the support they have provided. We look forward to welcoming our young people back to Sixth Form to thrive in their post-16 studies."
