A Level and BTEC Results Success at The Warren School

Students at The Warren School are celebrating another year of impressive A Level and BTEC results, reflecting the hard work, commitment and determination shown by this year's cohort throughout their studies. More than three quarters of the cohort (77%) achieved A*-C grades across all subjects. Vocational results were also excellent with an impressive 92% of students attaining Distinction*-Merit grades in their Level 3 qualifications.

These achievements are the culmination of two years of hard work, perseverance and dedication. Students have embraced the challenges of post-16 education with maturity and focus, and their success is a testament to the commitment they have shown both inside and outside the classroom.

Among this year's highest achievers were Abeeha, who achieved D*D*D* in BTEC Business Studies and will progress to City St George's, University of London, to study Law; Shuaib, who achieved an outstanding A*A*A*A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Sociology and Physics and has secured a place at the University of Warwick to study Physics with Astrophysics; and Angel, who achieved D*DD in BTEC Science and will progress to Aston University to study Pharmacology.

Mckenzie also achieved an excellent A*A*B in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and has accepted a place at Durham University to study Mathematics.

Mckenzie said:

"I am delighted with my results and grateful for all the support I received from my teachers and peers. It has been a challenging journey, but all the hard work has been worth it. I'm excited to begin the next chapter and look forward to my time at Durham reading Mathematics."

Alongside his excellent academic achievements, Mckenzie has been named the first recipient of the Mark Burnett Scholarship Fund, a bursary established by former Warren School student Mark Burnett to support young people from the local community as they progress to university.The award, worth £10,000, will contribute towards the first two years of Mckenzie's studies at Durham University and recognises the dedication, character and commitment he has demonstrated throughout his time at The Warren School.

On receiving his three A*s and A, Shuaib said:

"I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved. The support and encouragement from my teachers, friends and family helped me stay motivated throughout my studies, and I am excited to take the next step towards my future career."

The vast majority of students have secured places at their preferred universities, while others are progressing to apprenticeships, employment and specialist training programmes. We are proud to see our students moving on to the next stage of their journeys and look forward to hearing about their future successes at alumni events in the years ahead.

The Warren School is immensely proud of the achievements of every student receiving results today. Their success reflects not only their own hard work and determination, but also the unwavering support of staff, parents and carers throughout their educational journey.
