We Compose Project 2025-2026

On the 20th November we were fortunate enough to go to All Saints to watch The Phaedra Ensemble perform pieces to inspire the compositional skills of Warren students. We are again part of the "We Compose" project run by Music in the Round which enables students to write music for a professional string quartet and see it performed by those musicians at a Culmination event in the Summer. We will be working with a visiting professional composer who will support students with how to develop strong musical ideas for the pieces. At this stage we were just watching the performers but it was also useful to be guided with some interesting ideas for how to create compositional ideas.

We look forward to the students working with the composer in the New Year and developing their pieces ready for the Culmination Event performance.
