Year 8 student wins The X Box - Box Cup 2025

Congratulations to our Year 8 student who in May 2025 won The X Box - Box Cup  (50-52KG category) making him the Xbox- Box Cup 50-52kg Champion!

He is a licensed amateur boxer representing Essex Ringside amateur boxing club which is affiliated with the "Amateur Boxing Alliance".

The X Box - Box Cup is scheduled as a two day tournament and is held at the end of the season, and is arguably the biggest box cup of the season. The club that hosts the tournament is called X Box, hence the name. The club puts this tournament on to raise awareness around knife crime, and uses the slogan "Jabbing, not stabbing".

Our Year 8 student entered this tournament last year and lost the final, which many thought he had won with ease. This year, he entered after a tough season and ended up winning showing the importance of perserverance.

He also entered the School Boy Championships and narrowly lost in the semi finals.

The Warren School is very proud of his dedication, hard work and resilience!
