Netball at the Copper Box Arena 5

20 students attended the London Pulse vs. Strathclyde Sirens netball match at the Copper Box Arena in Stratford. Students had the opportunity to witness professional level netball, understanding how skills learned in their own PE and netball lessons are evident in the higher-level game. Students watched an interesting fixture, with the game being tied through the first two quarters. In the final two quarters, the London Pulse side pulled ahead, ending on a winning 63-53. Students had the opportunity to interact with the players post-match, receiving signatures and words of encouragement.

One student said, “the game was so fast and they are not making mistakes.” She outlined that they used the whole court and they attack into the space.

Another student said, “The opportunity to attend this game is fantastic as I have never experienced or watched a professional netball match before.” She was very interested in the GS and GA split landing and wants to adopt this into her own game.
