The Warren School was very pleased to welcome our new pupils from a variety of local junior schools on the 30th June 2017 who will be joining us in September.
Our Headteacher, Mr Micek, welcomed the pupils to their first ever Warren School assembly where he introduced our values and ethos and wish our new pupils well. After the assembly, pupils had the opportunity to participate in lessons in a wide range of subjects including art, drama, music, science, PE, modern foreign language, design and technology, English, maths, history, media and ICT.
The Year 6 pupils that attended The Warren School today were outstanding. The behavior and enthusiasm demonstrated throughout the day was exceptional and I have already been given fantastic feedback from the teachers involved with the taster lessons about their exemplary conduct. I personally have been impressed with the aspirations of the students I met today and have high expectations for their future achievement.
The day was an opportunity for the Year 6 students to gain an insight into what The Warren School has to offer them and a chance for them to explore and ask questions about the next stage of their education. It appears all the pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I would like to thank the teachers and support staff for ensuring today has been a huge success.
At The Warren School, these pupils will be given lots of new, exciting opportunities and having met most of the pupils on the day, I know they will take every advantage of the opportunities they are given. I have very high expectations for this year group and I am looking forward to watching them grow and develop into young adults throughout the years to come.
Some of the new students commented as follows:
