The positive achievements of students in 7A and the outstanding leadership from their form tutor Miss Quayum did not go unnoticed this term. The form group have topped the leader board for many weeks and successfully secured their well-deserved trip to The Science Museum in London. The scientifically spellbinding museum mesmerised the students and teachers alike, with its interactive and educational exhibits covering everything from early technology to space travel.
Impeccable behaviour from the very beginning, the students were a credit not just to Miss Quayum (form tutor) but also to myself (ATL) and Ms Ashe as their Head Teacher – It is another example of what positivity can achieve and an indication of the true potential and an insight into what is to come from these young people.
For some of our young students this was their first time on a train, their first experience of London and their first experience with the educational delights of a museum (especially one with such fascinating showcases of Science and Technology) – to watch the awe and excitement of these student just brought home how important these positives achievement trips are in broadening horizons, setting future goals and unlocking potential – So all that is left to say is a big thank you to all the staff involved in organising this trip and to the Year 7 students – “Where are we going in the Summer term and who will be coming with me?”
