On Wednesday 7th February 30 year 10 students were invited to Oaks Lane Synagogue to remember Holocaust Memorial Day.
Students had a truly unique opportunity to hear from holocaust survivors including 96 year old Rolf, who spoke movingly about protecting his sisters from the Hitler youth on the streets of Munich.
Students also had the opportunity to look around the synagogue and to see the Torah scrolls first hand.
Our students behaved impeccably, and it was great to see the generations integrating so well as they asked Rolf for selfies!
We hope to repeat the visit next year.
